Catholic Charities of Baltimore offers supportive programing for children, families and community. Our programs provide meal services, shelter, case management and access to resources for children and families experiencing poverty and homelessness. We provide person-centered planning and supports that allow the best community integration possible, and supervised homes for those adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who need them. We provide supportive resources for families and communities.

Adoption Services
Catholic Charities of Baltimore provides lifelong adoption services to prospective adoptive parents, adoptees, and birthparents.

Anna’s House
Anna’s House is an emergency shelter in Harford County for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Case management support is provided to assist with housing and employment needs.

Carroll County Head Start
Carroll County Head Start and Early Head Start is MSDE Accredited. We are a federally funded program for prenatal through pre-school children from low-income families. We are focused on providing children with experiences that help them grow mentally, emotionally, socially and physically and are geared to provide families with resources that make them strong, independent and successful.

Early Childhood Mental Health Screening
This program provides behavioral consultation, mental health referral, and treatment services to children and families participating in Head Start and Early Head Start.

Earn Benefits
Earn Benefits helps low-income individuals receive immediate assistance to meet their basic needs by screening them through a computer program to determine whether they are eligible for a wide array of public benefit programs and helping them apply for benefits for which they may be eligible. The program is available at a number of our program sites as well as parishes.

Gallagher Respite Care
Gallagher Services supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in living the life of their choice. They are supported in living, working and being involved in the community as independently as possible. The Cornerstones of the program are Person-Centered Planning and the mission and values of Catholic Charities.

Harford County Early Head Start
Our Early Head Start and Family Center serves pregnant women, parents, and children under three from low-income families. Our teachers provide loving care and guidance through a planned curriculum that incorporates hands-on experiences for parents to nurture their children. We offer parents GED, parenting, and computer literacy classes, peer support groups, and employment training.

Head Start of Baltimore City is a child and family development program that enables children from low-income families to be better prepared when entering elementary school, thereby improving the likelihood of their success in school and in life.

Mental Health Assessment Team
We strive to provide a timely, quality comprehensive evaluation of mental and emotional health of all referred individuals. Through assessing all individuals strengths and needs using various tools, we can provide a comprehensive diagnosis based upon the criteria of the DSM-5. We strive to provide timely recommendations to the Baltimore City DSS worker to improve the mental health care of children in care.

Safe Streets is an evidence-based violence prevention and interruption program that works to reduce shootings and homicides in high violence areas, operated by Catholic Charities in collaboration with the Baltimore City Department of Health and the Mayor’s Office for Neighborhood Safety and Engagement.

Sarah’s House
Sarah’s House is a supportive housing program offering emergency shelter and project-based supportive housing with an array of other services for families experiencing homelessness in Anne Arundel County. Serving up to 125 people daily, half of whom are children, our goal is to affect positive change in families by providing a range of services and support.

St. Vincent’s Villa offers residential treatment and diagnostic services for children between the ages 12 and younger with significant emotional and behavioral challenges in a state of the art facility.

Our Therapeutic After-School Programs provide structured, therapeutic activities two afternoons per week at two different locations in Baltimore County to children ages 5-13.

Villa Maria Behavioral Health provides mental health and substance use disorder treatment for adults, children and families in our eight clinics, through our home respite services as well as in our public school partnerships.
